Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) has been in use since ancient times especially in the Ayurvedic medicine in India and in traditional medicine in China. The herb produces significant benefits to the nervous system and mental functions. The Triterpenoid fraction of the plant can improve certain disease condition. Gotu Kola and its constituents (mainly asiaticoside) are beneficial in the treatment of minor wounds and minor skin irritations.
